Why is Asbury Park so cool? Why are you so drawn to that hood?
Asbury Park is awesomely diverse. The hood on one end and luxury condos on the other! And M studio somewhat in the middle! I love Asbury for its enthusiasm, creative energy, and down right realness. It reminds me of Baltimore [Editors note: me and Jenna went to school in Baltimore]. Asbury is in a great transformation! With any transformation their is energy and I like to tap into that energy; creatively and economically.. new businesses equal new clients. Its a 5 min bike ride from my house. Environmentally people are going to start working were they live. People are not going to be able to afford to drive cars so it will become a luxury!
Can you tell me about some of your recent projects?
MOBOS is in the process of launching its new additions to the MOBOS line; shelves, hooks, and cabinets. Now the bins wont be so lonely! The additions to the line all work with the original bar/mounting system. Now the modularity and playfulness has reached a new level! M studio is up to a lot of fun things. We have been contributing to the look and feel of the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce through our print design efforts. We just finished the city guide that features the map of the city as well as local finds.
What advice would you give to a budding designer?
My advice would be LISTEN, LOOK & LEARN
