I wanted an area rug for my new apartment. I did a little looking around and found this fabulous hole in the wall carpet remnants warehouse in Torrance, CA! On my first visit there, I found the perfect remnant that was just a little bit big for my space - they cut it to size and bound the edges. It was ready the next day, and after all of that, it was cheaper than buying a rug at Ikea.
So Danny and I drove down to Torrance to pick up the new rug. If you're wondering what else we did in Torrance that day, READ ON!
It was around lunch time, so we stopped at the Alpine Village looking for a bite to eat. The village is filled with all things German. The cafe was all brats and sauerkraut and beer, which looked like a good time, but we skipped it and went shopping in the market instead - where we found many fun German imports, like this ham and cheese spread in a tube!!!
But the fun didn't stop there......! Next stop - Memory Lanes Antique Mall, where Danny found some beautiful ceramics at bargain basement prices....
And I enjoyed relaxing in the lounge!
There's something for everyone in Torrance!
